For this reason, air quality measurements are much more valuable when accompanied by real-time data on wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity and other factors that directly affect pollution and its dispersion.

Vaisala's Beacon Station is a sleek, simple system with integrated weather and air quality sensors, network connectivity and data storage that provides a scalable platform for weather and environmental monitoring. Additional stations can also be easily added later or existing ones relocated as needed.

The Beacon Station is a complete package that handles both air quality measurements and data storage and transmission via 4G LTE radio communication.

The Vaisala Beacon Edge Gateway EGW501 provides secure data transmission between the sensors and the WxBeacon Cloud software. With the built-in SIM card and cellular data plan, the station is ready to use immediately after installation.

The optional cloud-based Vaisala Wx Beacon software collects and visualizes measurement data from the station. Once you have an account in Vaisala Wx Beacon, you can easily share the data to third-party services and systems through an open API.

Beacon Station uses the industry-leading WXT536 Weather Transmitter, along with AQT530 Air Quality Transmitter to produce full-spectrum air quality and weather intelligence. This provides a much more intelligent understanding of air quality, its fluctuations, and the drivers affecting it.
