Dual Polarisation Surface Radiometers
The DP-SR instrument is a modular dual polarisation (DP) radiometer system for surface observations. It can be used in a wide field of applications, where polarisation effects are significant:
- soil moisture
- ocean salinity
- surface snow
- emissivity measurements
It is a stand-alone system for automated weather-station use under nearly all environmental conditions.This instrument observes 3 or 4 frequencies with 2 orthogonal polarisations (6 or 8 channels in total). The available receiver modules cover the following:
Frequencies:
1.4 (L-Band), 6, 10, 19, 36, 90, and 150 GHz each at two orthogonal polarisations
