Thunderstorm Electric Field Mill EFM550
The Vaisala Thunderstorm Electric Field Mill EFM550 can be integrated into Vaisala's real-time local lightning systems to monitor the development and decay of lightning hazards by measuring the local atmospheric electric field. It also detects when the danger has passed and provides important information for lightning-prone areas.
The EFM550 data can be visualized with the optional Vaisala ALARM Automated Lightning Alert Risk Management Software, which displays current electric field readings both numerically and graphically.
