Intelligent probes with maximum accuracy and stability
The accuracy and long-term stability of Indigo probes are in a class of their own. They give you a sixth sense you can rely on: The ability to detect even the weakest signals and make better and earlier decisions.
Humidity and temperature sensors
Indigo humidity sensors are based on Vaisala's proprietary HUMICAP® technology, which is known for its excellent long-term stability, sensor heating for condensing environments and full recovery after condensation, resistance to dust and most chemicals, and dry cleaning option.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP1 is designed for indoor measurements. The probe head and probe body form a single unit without cables.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP3 is a universal probe suitable for a wide range of industrial processes. The design of the probe allows the sensor to be replaced without tools. This makes it suitable, for example, for paint booths and other industrial applications where regular recalibration is not sufficient to maintain the performance of the probe. Other application examples include industrial HVAC systems, clean rooms and climate chambers.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP4 is designed for high pressure processes in marine, breathing air and industrial applications where performance and chemical resistance are of particular importance.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP5 is designed for high temperature applications such as drying ovens, dough dryers and industrial kilns where performance and chemical resistance are of particular importance.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP7 is designed for applications where constant high humidity or rapid changes in humidity occur, such as drying and test chambers, combustion air and meteorological measurements where performance and chemical resistance are of particular importance.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP8 is designed for pressurized processes such as compressed air systems, refrigeration dryers and other industrial compressed air applications where easy installation and removal of the probe and variable installation depth are required.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP9 is designed for easy installation in rapidly changing environments where a fast response time, measurement performance, and chemical tolerance are essential. The compact size enables installation even in tight spaces, with the probe head only 5 mm (0.2 in) in diameter. For duct and chamber installations, a duct installation kit is available for the probe.
The Vaisala temperature probe TMP1 has been developed for demanding temperature measurements in industrial applications - such as pharmaceuticals and calibration laboratories - where accuracy and stability are of particular importance.
Carbon dioxide sensors (CO2)
Indigo-compatible carbon dioxide (CO2) probes are based on Vaisala's unique CARBOCAP® technology, which provides exceptional stability. They are ideal for applications such as incubators, greenhouses, fruit and vegetable storage and transportation, animal shelters and demand-controlled ventilation systems.
The Vaisala CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP251 is a smart stand-alone probe for measuring CO2 levels in life science incubators, cold storage, fruit and vegetable transportation and demanding applications where stable and accurate CO2 percentage measurements are required. The operating temperature range is -40 ... +60 °C and the measuring range 0 ... 20 % CO2.
The Vaisala CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP252 is a smart stand-alone probe for measuring CO2 in the ppm range. Intended for CO2 measurement in agriculture, refrigeration, greenhouses, demanding HVAC applications and grow room manufacturers. Suitable for harsh and humid CO2 measurement environments where stable and accurate CO2 measurements in the ppm range are required. The operating temperature range is -40 ... +60 °C and the measuring range extends from 0 ... 10'000 ppm CO2, with reduced accuracy even up to 30'000 ppm CO2.
Hydrogen peroxide probes (H2O2)
Vaisala vaporized hydrogen peroxide probes offer the unique PEROXCAP® technology. This enables accurate and repeatable measurement of the biodecontamination cycle with a single probe.
The Vaisala PEROXCAP® Hydrogen Peroxide, Humidity and Temperature Probes HPP270 Series are designed for demanding hydrogen peroxide decontamination. Ideal when repeatable, stable and accurate measurements are required, the probes are suitable for a variety of applications such as isolators, material transfer hatches and room bio-decontamination.
The simple HPP271 probe option measures H2O2 vapor concentration only. The advanced probe HPP272 measures all relevant parameters during the biological decontamination process such as hydrogen peroxide vapor, temperature and humidity as relative saturation and relative humidity, dew point and vapor pressure.
Dew point sensors
The Indigo series dew point probes are based on Vaisala DRYCAP® technology. Their unsurpassed performance is based on the capacitive thin-film polymer sensor and the auto-calibration function. Probes with the DRYCAP sensor provide long-term accurate readings, which significantly reduces the need for maintenance.
The Vaisala DRYCAP® Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP5 is designed for in-line moisture measurement in industrial drying applications with high temperatures and a wide dew point range. A long, robust steel probe and an optional mounting flange allow easy installation with adjustable depths to reach through insulation, e.g. in ovens.
The Vaisala DRYCAP® Dew Point Probe DMP6 is designed for moisture measurement in industrial applications with very high temperatures. High temperature resistance is achieved by a passive cooling system that dissipates heat from the probe and reduces the internal temperature to the optimum range for the sensor.
The Vaisala DRYCAP® Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP7 is designed for low humidity applications. Due to the short probe length, it can be installed in confined spaces such as semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Other application examples include industrial drying processes, compressed air systems, drying rooms and protective gases in the heat treatment of metals.
The Vaisala DRYCAP® Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP8 is designed for industrial applications with low humidity at pressures up to 40 bar. The probes are used for industrial drying, compressed air systems and applications in the semiconductor industry, among others.
The DMP8 probe can be mounted on a 1/2" NPT or ISO thread with adjustable installation depth. An optional ball valve installation kit allows the probe to be inserted into and removed from a pressure line.
Moisture in oil sensors
The proven HUMICAP® technology is also used in the oil moisture probes. This was developed for demanding moisture measurements in transformer and lubricating oils as well as hydraulic and other fluids and has been delivering consistently proven measurement results for more than twenty years.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® Oil Moisture Probe MMP8 ensures fast and reliable measurements of moisture content in oils. It uses the proven Vaisala HUMICAP® sensor, which was developed for demanding moisture measurements in transformer and lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids and other liquids.
